Project Description
Kennesaw State University – The Perch Multiuse Field Turf Replacement
In 2025, Advanced Sports Group partnered with Kennesaw State University to complete a full natural-to-synthetic turf conversion at Fred Stillwell Stadium, home of the Division I KSU Owls baseball program. This high-performance renovation was designed to deliver more consistent playability, enhanced durability, and significantly reduced maintenance—all essential for a top-tier collegiate athletics program.
Collegiate intramural and club sports demand facilities that can withstand relentless, dawn-to- dusk usage. At Kennesaw State University, “The Perch” is the epicenter of student athletics, and
Advanced Sports Group was tasked with ensuring its surface could keep up with the Owls’ active student body.
Completed in 2026, this multi-use field construction project involves a complete overhaul of the existing space. We installed a state-of-the-art Shaw Sports Turf system designed specifically for multi-sport versatility, accommodating everything from flag football and soccer to lacrosse and ultimate frisbee.
By upgrading to this advanced synthetic surface, KSU is maximizing the utility of their campus footprint. The new field will provide a safe, consistent, and highly durable environment that supports the university’s commitment to student health, wellness, and recreation.
