For the City Schools of Decatur, providing a clean and safe space for their students to congregate between classes, on lunch breaks and for “outdoor learning” days, was a key priority. Advanced Sports Group partnered with the district in 2026 to renovate what was formerly called “The Dust Bowl” to just that.

We installed 80,000 square feet of Shaw Legion Pro, a turf system renowned for its perfect balance of durability and player comfort. The project required careful coordination to ensure the site was properly excavated, graded, and equipped with a superior drainage system before the turf was laid down. As it is located between 2 buildings and in a heavily populated area, ASG needed to operate with extreme care.
