Position Overview:

The sports construction superintendent works with the project team and directs the field crew in the construction of sports fields and sports facilities. The primary responsibilities include managing the crew, subcontractors, equipment, budget and resources, schedule and vendors on assigned projects. The superintendent is typically in charge of supervising self-performed and subcontracted work, including site work and other trades.

Position Responsibilities

  • Working with pre-contract team from project hand-off to completion.
  • Supervising ASG crew and subcontractors.
  • Keeping project on schedule and on budget.
  • Responsible for managing project productivity, costs, quality, and safety.
  • Job site meetings with owners, architects and engineers, inspectors, and code officials.
  • Job site inspections.
  • Work with the team to develop total construction solutions for the project.
  • Equipment utilization of both owned equipment and rental equipment.
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting and documentation.
  • Deliver projects per plans and specifications.
  • Working collaboratively with the team.
  • Promote safe work practices.
  • Demonstrate leadership and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the construction industry or comparable industry experience.
  • High-level communications skills required and the ability to manage conflict resolution
  • Good organizational skills
  • Knowledge of construction and civil site construction is preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction documents, specifications, and drawings.
  • Turf Industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Travel required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean record, pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Experience with software systems and computer skills.

Location

Office Kennesaw Georgia travel in Georgia, Florida, Southeast United States, some National.

Comp-Salary-Negotiable depending on experience.
